Description

Micro-sized but big on warmth and comfort, the Snugpak Softie 6 Kestrel Sleeping Bag is a lightweight and easy to carry option that is suitable for use in temperatures down to -5ºC.

The mummy-style shaping, full-length zip baffle and adjustable Snugfit hood are designed to keep you comfortable all night, even in temperatures that dip below freezing.

The bag is filled with soft-touch Softie Premier which is exclusive to Snugpak. The super fine synthetic fibres of the insulation are extremely lightweight and help to trap warm air and retain heat even when wet.

Technical fabrics for dependable performance

The Softie 6 Kestrel is lined with Paratex Light, a wicking fabric that is also water repellent and windproof to keep you protected from the elements.

The outer shell is constructed from tough and durable Paratex Steelplate, which also helps wick away moisture for enhanced comfort. This highly technical fabric is also windproof to three cubic feet per minute and water repellent to a British Standard Spray rating of four.

Made in the UK and measuring just 18cm x 19cm when fully compressed in the included stuff sack, this bag can be washed and hung to dry quickly.

The Softie 6 bag is also made to order with a right-hand zip as well as extra-long which has a length of 250cm. If you would like to order either of these items, please contact us for costs and delivery estimates.

Made in U.K.

I bought a Snugpak Discovery bag in 1993, it’s still good and in use but I wanted a lighter one hence the Softie 6. I didn’t look at any other make just checked that they still had a ‘made in U.K.’ version. The bag is perfect and if you have ever had a softie you know this and won’t be reading this, but if you haven’t and are reading this then stop looking and just buy one. For me the softie 6 is the best compromise between the ultralight softie 3 and being warm enough. So all you need to do is work out how cold or warm you sleep and choose, you won’t be sorry.

Snuggly snugpak

An ideal light weight but warm sleeping bag for cool summer / autumn evenings . Really comfortable ,soft and well designed with a drawstring hood.

Great service

Made the choice to buy a Snugpak Softie 6 sleeping bag and contacted Military kit. They delivered as promised, quickly and the product (unlike other companies I’ve used recently) was exactly as it said in the description. The sleeping bag is robust and although the level of warmth is subjective, this lives up to my expectations. It’s compact and easily stuffed away. Very happy. I will definitely use Military kit again, probably as the ‘go to’ company and I certainly recommend them. Many thanks.
